My little summer adventures!

So I had planned on writing one blog a month...that totally didn't happen... I apologize. Therefore, there is a lot to talk about! I have been on the go since the last time I wrote!

First off, I went on an exciting adventure to Annapolis, MD for my good friend Noel's wedding! It was gorgeous and perfect and everything you would expect in a fairytale wedding! And the bride, of course, looked like a princess :) It started off with the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner, then a crazy funout on town for Noel's Bachelorette Party! I had a great time getting to know new friends and hanging out with the old. Please keep Noel and her husband Lee in your prayers as they begin they're journey as a married couple. Lee is in the Navy and has been stationed in Florida, and Noel is back here in Nashville pursuing her music career. She has a lot going for her :) Look for her on the Grammy's soon!

The next little adventure I had was moving. It was scheduled for me to move the same weekend as Noel's wedding, and because of my AMAZING family, I was able to do so :) My family came into Nashville while I was still in Maryland and moved nearly everything in my old apartment to my new apartment. All I had to do was clean it! How blessed am I?! Cornelius helped me clean, which took us about three hours longer than expected... And then, we jumped into moving him! What a busy couple of days! And in the mist of it was his birthday :) He turned 27 this May. We had a lovely apple pie with yummy vanilla ice cream...his favorite :)
After a couple weeks of recuperating, I was back on the road again for the big FAMILY VACATION! I have to say, I think this was the best family vacation our we have ever gone on. It was fantastic! My family drove into Nashville on a Friday, and when I got off work Saturday we headed for Panama City, FL. We stayed in a beautiful and spacious condo with a beach front view. We spent a lot of time on the beach taking walks, playing frisbee and wiffle ball, getting knocked over by waves, fishing and working on our tan. Yeah, yeah. Go on and laugh. But I did get a tan! Ask Cornelius! He he he ;) We also visited the Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum. That was really cool :) We did a lot of shopping and ate at several really cool places on the strip. On the next to the last day, Dad, Paige, Nicholas and I went deep-sea fishing. This was my first time going out on the ocean in a boat and I loved it! I even caught a few fish! Poor Nicholas, the big fisherman, he caught several big fish but none of them were big enough to keep! This one I caught wasn't big enough either so I asked if I could get a picture with it before he threw it back ;)
We headed back for Nashville on a Saturday and everyone kept on there way to MO except for Paige and Bella! They stayed with me for an entire week! We had so much fun together :) Paige got to hear Cornelius play downtown, and we met up with an old friend who used to live down the street from us while growing up. She even went to work with me a couple of days! We really had a great week together :)

The last little adventure I had this summer was just this past weekend. My very very best friend Miss Hana Wishy became Mrs. Hana Wishy Burrows! She was married to her sweetheart Mr. Wes Burrows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Kansas City, MO on July 15th. Cornelius and I were honored to be a part of Hana and Wes' special day :) They asked me to sing, and Cornelius to play guitar for the ceremony. It was so beautiful. Hot! But beautiful :) Before the wedding I was treated to a wonderful pedicure and massage, new jewelry, and a gorgeous hairstyle :) Thank you Mike and Julie Wishy!! And thank you Wes and Hana Burrows for inviting us to be a part of such an important and special day in your lives. We love you all so so much :)

Well, I think that's everything! Now, it's back to work to prepare for new and returning students as the new school year grows near. Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I work hard to be a good teacher and role model for many young lives, and as I go in search of an additional job to help with the big girl life. Aka, college loans and other bills... I've always wanted to "live the life!" Well, I think this is it. Is it crazy that I love it???!!!
